L. Dacre Tynan is a fiction writer drawn to the quiet weight of ordinary lives — work, family, habit, and the choices people make without a clear right answer. He’s less interested in spectacle than in accumulation: what builds over time, what wears people down, and what they carry anyway.
Alongside fiction, he works as a copywriter, a discipline that’s sharpened his sense of clarity, restraint, and revision. His stories often focus on working-class lives, family dynamics, and the moral friction of everyday decisions, where any courage is usually quiet and hard-won.
He’s currently working on an adult historical novel, a YA steampunk story, and a middle-grade basketball novel. In The Writing Woods, he’s here for the long game: steady work, thoughtful exchange, and staying with the page long enough for something real to emerge.
